A.   JOB PURPOSE/CORE FUNCTIONS
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement company’s procurement strategies.  Manage Risk Assessment on Tenders – through pricing, costing of products and services before submission.  Cost optimisation and bench marking for purchased items.

B.   OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other Core Functions
·         Manage all commercial activities.
·         Ensure cost effective procurement of goods on time as per the budget guidelines.
·         Ensure all necessary documentation required for various markets for procurement of material.
·         Develop yearly cost reduction plan.
·         Coordinate with other internal functions like operations, logistics, finance and statutory agencies. 
·         Plan for material in line with business strategy/growth/business plan for the group.
·         Review stock purchase by monitoring market conditions, current stock levels, lead time required for manufacturing, potential price increase, anticipation of new orders from customers and suppliers conditions etc.
·         Ensure timely processing of GRN to release on time payment to suppliers.
·         Control purchasing department budgets.
·         Represent the company in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with the suppliers.
·         Ensure all purchases are approved within the mandated guidelines.
·         Finding out alternative ways to reduce costs.
·         Present monthly reports to management on inventory ratio and cost.
·         Review, evaluate and approve specifications for issuing material requisition.
·         Monitor timely release of purchase orders by liaising with other departments.
·         Reduce purchasing risks through effective purchasing controls.
·         Conduct competitive market survey related to price, quality and quantity.
·         Arrange for stock verifications and physical inventory of assets.
·         Supervise the entire store functions for proper storing of materials.

Professional Qualification : Post Graduation in Finance Management/MBA Material Management/CA
Age : 35 – 40 yrs
Experience : 10-15 yrs of relevance experience in commercial/procurement/material management activities.
