A.   JOB PURPOSE/CORE FUNCTIONS
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Tax manager will be responsible for planning, preparing and analyzing local, state and federal tax returns for the organization.  He would advise and help  in effective management of tax risks and liabilities associated with various business transactions of the company.  In addition, the position will also help improve the internal controls for recording and tracking income, property and other tax information.  He will also ensure developing tax saving strategies and reconciling tax data on the financial statements.
B.   OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.       Ensure that company's earnings, expenditures and investments are reported with accuracy and completeness. 2.       Plan and prepare all the required returns for the companies. 3.       Interpret local tax codes and ensure compliance. Also research the implications of tax laws and advise the company on tax related issues. Examine and develop tax-saving strategies. 4.       Help minimize tax risks associated with various business dealings of the company. 5.       Audit internal controls for accuracy. 6.       Track income, property and other local/state taxes. 7.       Reconcile tax data on financial statements. 8.       Plan, direct, and execute various tax projects. 9.       Perform research and prepare/review technical tax memorandum. 10.    Manage, develop, and mentor staff/managers on projects and assess performance through formal periodic reviews and informal feedback.

Professional Qualification : CA (Exposure to taxation is required)

Age : 30 – 35 yrs

Experience : 6-10 yrs (post qualification).

Working with manufacturing unit will be an added advantage.
